FRAMINGHAM: Evelyn M. (Arata) Boudreau, 92, a resident of Framingham for more than 50 years, died late Thursday March 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Joseph W. Boudreau who died in 1977. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Moran) Arata. A graduate of Newton High School with the class of 1940, Mrs. Boudreau worked for a time for the Assessor’s Office at Newton City Hall and for the I.R.S. prior to her marriage. She also worked as a school secretary for the former Winch Park School in Framingham and as an administrative assistant for Town of Framingham Building and Grounds for 30 years before retiring in 1990. An active parishioner of St. George’s Church for many years, she served the parish as a lector, Eucharistic minister and as a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was a member of the Framingham Union Hospital Aid Association. She is survived by a son: Frederic J. Boudreau of Framingham and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: John J “Buddy” Arata II, Frederick Thomas Arata and Helen M. Lamb. Visiting hours are Tuesday, March 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Church, 74 School St., Framingham (Saxonville). Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar St., Needham. Ins lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. George’s Church, 74 School Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
