William F. Cofran

HOLLISTON William F. Cofran, 71, a resident of Holliston since 1972, and formerly of Framingham, died Thurs. March 12, 2015 at Norwood Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 44 years of Claire (Pullman) Cofran of Holliston. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late William A. and Mary (Hannon) Cofran. A graduate of Framingham High School with the class of 1961, he also served an enlistment in the Mass. Army National Guard. Mr. Cofran was a 25 year employee of FMC Crosby Valve, Inc. in Wrentham before retiring as a senior supervisor in 1997. His interests were cars, gardening, crosswords and his dogs, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren who were the focus of his life. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Wendy Cofran & her wife Ellen Faszewski of Natick, Leigh C. Gammons & her husband Mark of Duxbury and Brian Cofran of Holliston; 3 grandchildren: Will, Max & Meghan Gammons; his mother-in-law: Mary H. Pullman of Natick; his sister-in-law: Janet P. Harrington & husband James of Natick and their children: Matthew and Christopher and family; a brother-in-law: Dana A. Pullman & wife Melissa of Worcester and their children: Toni, Kurt, Brett, Jack and Dean, and several cousins. He was pre-deceased by his sister Louise. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private and will be held at a later date. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to: the Natick Visiting Nurse Association, 209 W. Central St., # 313, Natick, MA. 01760.
