FRAMINGHAM: Alfrina M. (Zanga) Ferullo, 93, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully Thursday March 20, 2014 at home. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to Albert Ferullo of Framingham. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Signori) Zanga. Mr. and Mrs. Ferullo were the proprietors of Al-Rena’s Restaurant, later Ferullo’s Restaurant on Waverly Street for 35 years until selling and retiring in 1990. Mrs. Ferullo was an active parishioner of St. Tarcisius Church for many years and served as a past president of the Guild and attended bible study classes at the church. She enjoyed line dancing, bowling and bocce and watercolor painting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Dr. John Ferullo and his wife Valerie of Northboro and Albert J. Ferullo of Medway; and six grandchildren: Daniel Ferullo, Shayna Ferullo, Brendon Ferullo, Noelle Ferullo, Christian Ferullo and Marc Ferullo; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Monday March 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday March 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Tarcisius Church, Waverly St., Rte. 135, Framingham. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made in her name to: Buddy Dog Humane Society, Inc. PO Box 296, Sudbury, MA. 01776.
